into the garden
speak to me
through fingertips for tapping
deliberately along creases
desperately outlined curls
into waves
exhale and dissolve
soaking until the
skin sloughs off in reams
and waves royalty
while I watch as I tear
my heart from my chest
and wring out everything
holy and bright
sing to me though
short of breath and gasping
through a pinprick light
I’m walking on
a string
ears ring and eyes blind
I’ll join with the sun someday
and feed gardens
until I collapse
while I watch as I tear
my heart from my chest
and wring out everything
holy and bright
